Show Opening
Featuring:
Chuck Thompson and Howard Sanford
Writer:
Matt |
| | |
|
Voice: The following broadcast is brought to you by
Ringside Wrestling’s General Manager, John Mark
Blackburn.
The show then fades into the new opening video which
includes new theme music provided by Fuel. As “Scars
in the Making” by Fuel begins to play, video clips
of past Tradition highlights are shown on the
screen.
♫ Do you ever see
♫ These shadows over me
♫ And all the things you left that leave me hollow
♫ Do you ever feel
♫ In time we're forced to heal
♫ And all the bitter pills you made me swallow
♫ All undone
♫ All unsung and left to fall
♫ Every memory that I hold
♫ Were all just scars in the making
♫ And all the things we can't let go
♫ Were all just scars in the making
♫ I could never make you fall
♫ Or anything at all
♫ And I'll never understand
♫ What you hold sacred
♫ Every memory that I hold
♫ Were all just scars in the making
♫ And all the things we can't let go
♫ Were all just scars in the making, scars in the
making
♫ There's no way you could ever try
♫ There's no way you could ever hide
♫ Maybe someday you will wonder why
♫ Do you ever see
♫ The shadows over me
♫ And all the things you left that leave me hollow
As the video ends, the cameras in the arena flip on
and begin panning around the crowd. Signs and
T-Shirts supporting Ringside Wrestling wrestlers can
be seen as the interlude instrumental music plays on
the PA system. Chuck Thompson and Howard Sanford are
at their seats at the announcer’s table.
Chuck Thompson: Welcome, everyone, to the thirtieth
episode of Tradition brought to you by Ringside
Wrestling. I’m Chuck Thompson alongside Howard
Sanford. We’re going to be here all night calling
the action.
Howard Sanford: What happened to Austin? I was
starting to get use to his ignorance.
Thompson: Don’t you remember the news? Austin
Andrews was promoted to Content Manager of the
Ringside Wrestling web site. There have been a lot
of new things happening with the web site now that
Andrews has taken over.
Sanford: I still find the place boring.
Thompson: Well, since Andrews has taken over, the
web site takes on a new look for each holiday that
comes up. There was a jack-o-lantern on Halloween
and a Red, White, and Blue theme for Election Day.
Sanford: Speaking of, who did you vote for Thompson?
Thompson: I don’t think it matters who anyone voted
for anymore. What matters is that we have a new
President-Elect and we, as Americans, should support
him. He’s got a tough road ahead of him. But that is
done with, what about tonight? What are you looking
forward to the most tonight Howard?
Sanford: The ending credits.
Thompson: You’re such a joy to be around, do you
know that? Tonight, is pick your opponent’s opponent
night as Derek Barlow and Mark Knight will pick who
the other will face as they head into REVIVAL next
week.
Sanford: Also, Ryusaki and Holt put the Fellowship
Championships on the line against The Hawaiians for
Hire. These two teams have been at each other’s
throats for the longest, and tonight it comes to an
end.
Thompson: But starting us off, three new hires will
show the world what they’re worth. Tyler Justice, AC
Blood, and Infamous hit the ring in a Three-Way
Match to kick things off for Tradition.
Sanford: Don’t forget that Jimmy Thunder and Eugene
FitzPatrick will have a contract signing tonight.
Thompson: That’s right; Thunder and FitzPatrick have
been at each other as well, and tonight they sign a
contract for their match against each other at
REVIVAL. The big thing on the plate is if either one
of them touch the other, the match is off. If
Thunder touches Fitz, he automatically forfeits the
title over to Fitz and if Fitz touches Thunder, Fitz
loses his chance at the belt. It is definitely going
to be interesting. |

A Family Affair
Featuring:
Jimmy Thunder
Writer:
Chris |

|
The
camera pans out to the open carpark area where
several fans who couldn't get tickets to be inside
the arena, hang over the steel fences trying to get
a glimps at any Ringside Wrestling stars arriving.
The fans only have to wait several minutes when a
black limousine pulls up to the backstage entrance
section and to their surprise out of the limo climbs
Jimmy Thunder, followed by his son Jimmy Junior and
his obviously pregnant girlfriend, Emma.
The camera shows Jimmy acknowledging the small
gathering's wild cheers for him by clenching his
fist in their direction with a smile on his face. A
staff member of Ringside Wrestling begins to lead
Jimmy, Emma and Junior into the backstage area where
a small boy, standing alone, wearing a Ringside
Wrestling shirt smiles when he sees Jimmy
approaching in his direction. Jimmy walks over to
him, bends down on one knee and has a quick chat
with him before signing an autograph and taking a
photograph with the boy as his father comes out of
nowhere to take the photo.
Jimmy has a brief discussion with the boy's father
when Kayla B. notices the Commonwealth Champion
standing around backstage. Seizing her opportunity,
Kayla B. organises to have a word with Jimmy prior
to tonight's contract signing with Eugene
Fitzpatrick.
Kayla B. : Jimmy Thunder, later on tonight you'll go
face to face, yet again with the man who has
challenged you for the Commonwealth title, when you
and Eugene Fitzpatrick officially sign the contract
that will book you guys for a match at Revival.
Jimmy walks over to where Emma and Junior are
standing then begins to walk down the hall way with
one arm around Emma and the other around Junior. He
keeps walking with a serious look on his face as
Kayla B. tries to keep the mic close to his mouth as
she follows Jimmy downthe hall.
Jimmy: Both Fitz and I have been in some real
pressure cookers during our careers and this match
won't be any different. A few weeks ago I made an
open challenge to anyone, Fitz stepped up and wants
to go toe to toe with me. All I can say to him is to
bring all his experience to Revival, cause he's
going to need it.
Kayla B.: Even though you've faced him for the first
time a few weeks back, does the reputation he gained
during his time at Core Wrestling still daunting to
you?
Jimmy: Reputations are just myths if you don't bring
your "A" game to the job. If you're asking me does
the fact that Eugene Fitzpatrick being a Core
Wrestling Hall Of Famer worry me? Not in the
slightest. You should be asking him if coming to the
ring at Revival to try and take my title from me
will scare him more, you'll find he'll tell you the
exact opposite on how he'll be feeling.
Jimmy, Emma and Junior walk into Jimmy's dressing
room just as Kayla B. tries to ask one more question
but is cut off from the dressing room door being
shut in her face. She stands there for a few seconds
surprised that the door was slammed in her face as
the screen fades. |

Just Watch me
Featuring:
AC Blood
Writer:
Clint |
| | |
|
Kayla B stands before the camera with her pretty
smile twinkling and a microphone armed at the ready.
To her left a man sneers as he stares down the
barrel of the camera. His head is shaved to stubble
and appears the same length as the hairs on his
chin, as if he shaved everything all at once. His
piercing green eyes tell the viewers he is serious
as he tries to stare a hole into the head of every
fan viewing at home.
He wears a black Ringside Wrestling t-shirt beneath
a sleeveless flannel shirt. His denim shorts are cut
off at the knees and his attire is capped off with a
pair of black army boots. While he stands, he pats
his fist into his other hand as he psyches himself
up to Kayla B’s interview.
Kayla B: Hello Ringside fans, I’m here tonight to
welcome a new part of our roster into the fray. He
is the Original Blood Duster, AC Blood. AC, welcome
to Ringside Wrestling.
She pokes the microphone under his nose and he
simply sneers at it, giving her a look to get on
with things and cut the chit-chat. She throws a look
of uneasiness toward the camera before continuing on
with the interview.
Kayla B: AC, what was it about Ringside Wrestling
that wanted you to be a part of the roster?
Blood looks her up and down, rolls his eyes and
sighs heavily before grabbing her around the wrist
so he can put the microphone into a position he
thinks if audible. Her hand wriggles to free herself
which causes Blood to grip her wrist tighter.
AC Blood: Keep still. Let’s start off with yer
question… Ringside Wrestlin’ is goin’ through a
slump. They’s stuck in a big, damn holed. That’s the
truth. They’re droppin’ stars quicker than you drop
your panties when Mark Knight gets his pay check.
They need quality performers who can do the job each
and every week, Kayla. That’s why they need people
like me. The Original Blood Duster. People willin’
to put their bodies on the line and put on one
HELLUVA show EACH and EVERY…<i>(Blood points in the
direction of the ring area)</i> …time they go out to
that damn ring. They don’t need no more fruits in
rabbit costumes. They don’t need no 40 year-old
champions.
Blood thumbs his own chest whilst continuing on.
AC Blood: They need AC Blood, Kayla. I’m the Broken
Mould. They don’t make guys like me in this
industry. They all want those pretty boys so bitches
like you can flip their beans over ‘em. Gooing and
gahing in the front row, tearing the heart right
outta this industry. They want six-pack abs and
toned obliques. Do you see them calling out for
slightly overweight people who give a damn about
entertaining the fans by putting their bodies on the
line?
He shakes his head slowly. Kayla B is clearly in
some distress having her wrist gripped so tightly.
AC Blood: They don’t… but they should. This business
has grown shallow. It’s turned into my World
Champion is prettier than your World Champion ---
but can he do more than five GOD DAMN MOVES? My US
Heavyweight Champion can rap. My Tag Team Champions
are faggots --- we’re tryin’ to appeal ta the
Fr’isco audience. Look at me Kayla! LOOK AT ME!
He gives her a light slap across the cheek that
makes Kayla look at AC Blood. Her face is taut with
fear and she has given up trying to free her wrist.
AC Blood: Is there anything you see here that stirs
something in that pungent little gash of yours?
Her jaws gapes wide as Blood shakes his head.
AC Blood: I don’t think so. Ringside Wrestlin’,
you’re looking at the man that is your salvation.
I’m not here to be your friend. I don’t care if ya
like me or not. But you WILL respect me. That’s for
DAMN sure.
He grabs the microphone with his free hand and pulls
her wrist away from it.
AC Blood: Line ‘em up, Ringside Wrestling. Line ‘em
up and I’ll knock ‘em down.
The Original Blood Duster reaches out and grabs the
front of the camera, pulling it in for an extreme
close up. The cameraman and production crew try as
they might to bring Blood into focus.
AC Blood: JUST. WATCH. ME!
Shoves off the camera and pushes the microphone with
a little too much force into the chest of Kayla B,
causing her to stumble backward into the corridor
wall. Shaking her head with disgust as Blood stomps
off down the halls having officially laid out all of
his cards and let the world know…
AC Blood was in Ringside Wrestling and ready to
prove a point. |

AC Blood versus Infamous versus Tyler Justice
Three-Way Match
Writer:
Brandon |
| | |
|
“Drink, Fight, F**k” hits the PA system and AC Blood
emerges from the backstage area. His intensity is
prominent as he pumps his fists by his sides to
psyche himself up. Throwing his fists above his head
he then makes his way down to the ring. Ignoring the
fans he makes it straight down to the ring steps,
storming up those and through the ropes and climbs
the closest turn buckle and pounds his chest with
his fist. Psyching himself up further as he talks
himself up to the fans and whoever else will listen.
Sanford: Here’s newcomer AC Blood, who is hoping to
make an impact here on Tradition.
Thompson: This should be a very exciting match
featuring the next generation here in Ringside! I
know that management has worked very hard to bring
in this new talent.
Infamous struts down the entrance ramp to Ringside’s
default music and slides into the ring.
Sanford: Ringside may not be able to afford entrance
music for this young one yet.
Thompson: Infamous is an uncertainty so far, we’ll
have to see how he can compete in this match.
'Injection' by Rise against hits the system and the
lights begin to flash lightly. As the beat picks up
Tyler busts through the curtain and throws his arm
into the air. He briskly makes his way to the ring,
slapping hands with fans sporadically as he does.
Once he gets to ringside he runs around the ring,
giving high fives to the fans in the front row.
After two laps he slides into the ring and begins
hitting the ropes as his music fades.
Sanford: Tyler Justice is coming off a victory a few
weeks ago against Alejandro. He’s established
himself with these fans already to an extent.
Thompson: Based on his past performance, I can tell
that he’s got some potential.
The three begin to circle as the bell rings. Tyler
Justice and AC Blood lock up, but Infamous quickly
takes out Justice with a chopblock, causing him to
fall against AC Blood, dropping AC Blood as well.
Infamous begins laying in the boots to both of his
competitors. Justice is the first to his feet, and
Infamous whips him off the opposite ropes and back
into a clothesline. By that time, AC Blood is up.
Infamous quickly drops Blood with a fireman’s carry.
Infamous again begins laying in the boots to both of
his opponents – asserting his early influence!
Thompson: Infamous has really come out swinging
here.
Sanford: We’re three minutes in and he’s controlled
all of them!
It’s AC Blood that gets up first, taking down
Infamous with a rising spear. Justice rises, but is
quickly dropped with a spear of his own from Blood.
Blood picks Justice up and slams him into the
turnbuckle, laying in right hands and boots to leave
him sitting in the corner. Infamous rises and Blood
whips him into the same turnbuckle. Infamous smashes
Justice against it and bounces back into a dropkick
from Blood. Infamous goes down and Blood lays in
more boots to both opponents before lifting Tyler
Justice up and dropping him with a powerbomb in the
middle of the ring! He quickly goes for a pin! One!
Two! Justice kicks out!
Sanford: AC Blood is showing some real potential;
we’ll have to see if he can keep this up.
Thompson: Tyler Justice is reeling …
As Justice recovers, Infamous takes AC Blood down
with a clothesline. Blood rises but is grappled and
dropped with a piledriver. Justice rises and catches
Infamous off guard, grabbing him and slamming him to
the mat behind him with a german suplex. Justice
then holds on and hits the same music again. He sees
Blood rising to his feet and releases Infamous. He
then proceeds to telegraph Blood’s charge and he
hits Blood with a drop-toe hold, smashing Blood’s
face to the mat. Justice rises and lays in some
right hands to Infamous. Blood again rises, but
Justice catches him with a Northern Lights Suplex!
Thompson: And finally Justice has come out swinging!
Sanford: He’s really asserted his influence!
Justice moves to assert his influence over Infamous,
but Blood recovers fairly quickly from the suplex.
Blood rises to his feet slowly and quietly, watching
as Justice lays in some boots to Infamous. Blood
charges, dropping his head and catching Justice with
a spear to the back into the ropes. He quickly picks
Justice up and strikes him with the Blood Bath
jawbreaker! Justice drops to the mat in great pain
from the powerful set up maneuver. Blood signals for
his finisher! Blood picks up Justice and drops him
with THE BLOOD DUSTER! He quickly goes for the pin!
One! Two! But Infamous drags Blood off of the pin!
Blood rises and the two go blow for blow in the
middle of the ring!
Sanford: Justice has fallen prey to AC Blood! We’ll
have to see if he can pull it out here.
Thompson: AC Blood has taken the advantage – but
he’s got to hurry, we’re almost to a time limit
draw!
Tyler Justice begins rising slowly as Infamous and
Blood battle on which one gets to pin him. Blood
drops Infamous to the mat, turns gleefully, and then
is shocked to find Tyler Justice is up! Justice
grabs him by the neck on a running DDT, and smashes
his head into the ground! Justice goes for the pin!
One! Two! No! Infamous grabbed him by the leg and
pulled him off the prone Blood. Justice swings his
leg violently at Infamous, and catches him in the
face. Justice walks over in anger, picking Infamous
up and hitting a fisherman’s suplex! One! Two! No!
Infamous kicks out! The three all rise
simultaneously and charge when the bell rings,
signaling a time limit draw! The three start
battling anyway until a number of rW staffers rush
in and pull them all apart – sending them their
separate ways.
Thompson: This is really a perfect ending for this
match. There are no winners here, but there are no
losers.
Sanford: There’s one big winner as far as I’m
concerned: Ringside Wrestling. |

The Past is About to Bite
Featuring: Jimmy Thunder
Writer:
Chris |
| | |
|
Sitting in his dressing room with Emma and Junior,
Jimmy just finishes a live radio interview to
promote Revival next week when he hears a knock at
the door. Emma looks at Jimmy when the door opens
and Thomas Dsousa walks in with a smile on his face.
Jimmy slowly stands up and walks to Dsousa and uses
his massive frame to hover over him in an
intimidating way.
Jimmy: What the hell do you want?
Thomas: Well I was kind of expecting a warmer
greeting than that.
Jimmy stares at Thomas, waiting for him to explain
why he has come. Thomas takes a few steps back
before he starts pacing around the large room.
Thomas: When you came to my office looking for a job
several years ago, I saw a lot of potential. You
were raw around the edges but I knew with a little
bit of work you'd turn into a great money making
tool for the WFW.
Thomas pauses for a moment.
Thomas: Since you left the WFW you've gone on to
make yourself a very comfortable life. I'm very
happy for you, believe me.
Thomas looks at Jimmy.
Thomas: The thing is, I feel like I've been missing
out of some of the pie.
Jimmy: That's not my problem
Thomas: You see that's where you're wrong.
Jimmy raises his left eyebrow curiously.
Thomas: When you signed your WFW contract, a
stipulation of the contract was that if you ever
wanted to leave you could do so via a signed release
by me. When you left for the DWA I didn't sign a
release for you which in actual fact means that you
were still contracted to me and the WFW.
Jimmy: That' a load of crap.
Thomas: It's true. Your contracts with Thomas
Iscariot at DWA, Chris Rush at GCW, Simon Cain at
Bloodbox, Matt Lanier at Core, Steven Caldera at GCW
and now John Blackburn here at Ringside Wrestling
are all breaches of your WFW contract.
Jimmy: What are you trying to say, Thomas?
Thomas: What I'm saying to you is that you owe me a
hell of a lot of money.
Jimmy: I owe you nothing, you won't get a dime out
of me.
Thomas: Hold up there Jimmy, we can make some sort
of agreement where I can wash all that away.
Jimmy stares at Thomas who is slowly walking towards
him. Thomas looks directly at the Demon Jewel
hanging from Jimmy's neck and slowly lifts his hand
to touch it.
Thomas: You could give me back what is mine
Jimmy grabs a hold of Thomas' wrist and squeezes it
tightly.
Jimmy: Listen to me now Dsousa, I'm going to say
this once and once only. You're not getting any
money from me and you're definitely not getting the
Demon Jewel back. You better get out of my face
right now before I cave your nose in with my fist.
Jimmy and Thomas stare at each other as Jimmy let's
go of Thomas. Thomas smiles at Jimmy, Emma and
Junior as he backs up towards the door.
Thomas: You can expect a call from my lawyer.
Thomas exits the dressing room leaving Jimmy, Emma
and Junior to stare at each other as they try and
and digest what had just transpired.
The screen fades... |

Welcome, Mr. Barlow, To Tonight's
Nightmare
Featuring:
Mark Knight
Writer:
Jeff |
| | |
|
The
sound of fireworks screaming into the air fills the
arena, though the stage only shows a single firework
fizzling out in a storm of Mythbusters-like smoke.
Thompson: Well, someone certainly cut the
introduction budget this week.
The PA system, however, is at full power, as proven
by the chords of Atreyu's "Ex's and Oh's" filling
the arena. The music is so loud, even, that Charles
Thompson finds himself needing to scream to make
himself heard.
Thompson: I'M SURE EVERYONE AT HOME IS ANXIOUSLY
AWAITING --
Sanford: Turn your microphone on, you fool.
Thompson: WHAT?!
Sanford reaches over, his hand dissapearing beneath
the desk, toward Thompson. A subtle click can be
heard, and Thompson can be easily understood once
again. Even over the loud cheering of the fans
filling the arena: Mark Knight has come out on the
Ringside stage.
Thompson: That's better. I'm sure everyone at home
is anxiously awaiting the upcoming announcement from
Ringside Champion Mark Knight. Last week John Mark
Blackburn surprised everyone by announcing that each
of the competitors in the REVIVAL Championship
Match, Mark Knight and Derek Barlow, would be
allowed to pick their opponents' ... opponent, this
evening. Barlow's match is next, so let's go to Mark
Knight for the announcement.
Knight slides into the ring under the bottom rope.
He springs to his feet, raising one arm to the crowd
as an arm from off-camera hands him a microphone.
Knight motions for the crowd to calm down before
bringing the mic to his lips.
Knight: Tonight, I get to pick Derek Barlow's
opponent.
The crowd cheers.
Knight: So I spent the last two weeks -- asking
myself "Who would be the best opponent for Derek
Barlow?" I needed to not only pick an opponent that
had a chance to wear Barlow down, but, moreso, one
whose performance I could watch for possible
weaknesses. A film I could study before next week's
match.
So I picked me.
The crowd explodes! As the camera cuts, both
Thompson and Sanford are at a loss for words.
Knight: But -- but ... I wasn't allowed to that.
(The boos rain down) No, Blackburn made it quite
clear that the Ringside Championship match must wait
for Revival.
Knight begins to pace around the ring, alternating
looking down at the mat and out to the crowd.
Knight: So who to pick ... who ... to ... pick.
Obviously, because I don't want Barlow 100% come
Revival I needed a talented individual.
Championship-worthy, even. And I need someone with
similar traits. A similar respect for the Ringside
championship. A similar respect for the fans. Derek
Barlow and I have a little history together. While
there may be some level of respect there, underneath
it all, I can't help but feel that he could use a
reminder of what he's up against at Revival.
Knight pauses, stepping onto the turnbuckle.
Knight: LU-CIAN CAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNN!
To say the crowd explodes ... well, that would be an
understatement.
Thompson: Wow.
Sanford: Ditto.
Thompson: I am at a loss for words. The roof of the
arena may very well have come off after that
announcement. Lucian Cain will be in the arena ...
well ... his match is next! |

Lucian Cain versus Derek
Barlow
Pick Your Opponent's Opponent - Singles Match
Writer:
Matt |
| | |
|
Thompson: It’s time for the first of the pick your
opponent’s opponent matches. First up Derek Barlow
will take on who Mark Knight chooses for him to
face. Knowing the champion, he probably picked an
opponent that will get Barlow ready for his match
against Knight next week.
Sanford: If Knight had any brains about him, he’s
pick someone to beat the tar out of Barlow so he
wouldn’t have to work so hard to retain his title
next week.
Thompson: I don’t think Knight is that kind of a
person, personally.
Sanford: I guess we’ll find out.
'Are you listening?'
As the opening screams of 'Walls' by Emery shakes
the arena, the lights dim as strobe lights fill the
arena. Though the flashes, Derek Barlow sprints to
the ring, and then slides into the ring from under
the bottom rope.
Stacey: The following match is for one fall.
Introducing first, weighing two-hundred thirty five
ponds and hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, the number
one contender to the Ringside Championship... DEREK
BARLOW!
Derek gets to his feet, tugging several times on the
top rope before taking a seat on the middle
turnbuckle in anticipation of his opponent as his
music fades into the background. As Barlow is
waiting in the ring, the crowd erupts as the lights
cut out as the 'Beginning of the End is the
Beginning' by the Smashing Pumpkins begins to play
over the PA system. As the bass pulses, the darkness
flashes with yellow lights along with the beat of
the song till a single yellow light illuminates from
the entrance ramp. A figure rises from the floor
covered in a black long coat.
Stacey: And his opponent, make his return to
Ringside Wrestling, standing six feet two inches and
weighing in at two hundred thirty two pounds, he is
LUCIAN CAIN!!
The figure makes his way down to the ring and slides
under the bottom rope. The lights constantly pulse
black and yellow as standing in the center of the
ring with his arms spread out is Lucian Cain, the
'Forsaken One' is here! The fans are going nuts!
Thompson: Lucian Cain has just made his return to
Ringside Wrestling. A few weeks ago, the hint of his
return was broadcasted as he left Myles Jake covered
in blood. I guess we finally know who Abel’s brother
is.
Sanford: Touché, Knight, touché.
As Cain’s music fades out, he removes his long black
coat and passes it off to the crew member at
ringside. Mr. Black, who is refereeing his last
match, calls both wrestlers to the middle of the
ring. He explains he wants a clean match and then
calls for the bell.
DING
DING
DING
Thompson: And we’re off. Barlow and Cain, one on
one. Former champion against a potentially future
champion.
Sanford: As much as I like and respect Barlow, I
think Cain is going to teach him something about
being a champion tonight.
The bell sounded and both men begin circling each
other. They meet in the ring with a collar elbow tie
up. Cain gets the early advantage by quickly
applying a hammerlock on Barlow. Barlow quickly
spins out of the hammerlock and drives a forearm
into the face of Cain. Barlow grabs Cain by the
right arm and sends him into the ropes. Cain bounces
back and Barlow takes him down with a clothesline.
Barlow wastes no time in following up as he quickly
drops to the mat applying a side headlock. Cain,
using his strength, pushes himself to his feet to
break the side headlock. Cain pushes Barlow into the
ropes. Barlow bounces back and Cain sends him over
with a back body drop. Barlow quickly rolls to his
feet and Cain turns and catches him by scooping him
and then dropping him down to the ring with a scoop
slam. The crowd starts to go nuts as Cain makes his
way to the top rope.
Thompson: It looks like Cain is going for a little
high risk action.
Sanford: Not a real safe place to be.
Cain gets to the top rope and then leaps off
extending his elbow to drop across the chest of
Barlow. Barlow sees him coming and rolls quickly out
of the way. Cain crashes to the mat. Barlow stands
to his feet and walks over to the former champion.
Barlow pulls him to his feet and then whips him back
over to the mat with a snapmare takedown. Barlow
then steps back a few feet and then connects with a
low drop kick to the back of Cain. Cain flies
forward under the ropes from the impact. Cain’s body
is lying under the ropes, and his head is hanging
past the apron. Barlow comes over and grabs the top
rope. He uses he feet to roll Cain over onto his
back and then uses the top rope for leverage to pull
himself up and over to drop a leg drop across the
chest and throat of Cain who was hanging over the
side of the ring. Barlow falls to the outside and
Cain slowly slides from under the ropes onto the
outside as well.
Sanford: There is the Barlow I’ve come to respect.
He’s showing Cain that things in Ringside Wrestling
have changed since he was on top.
Thompson: A lot of things have changed in Ringside,
but I think Cain is just working out some ring rust.
It has been a few months since he’s competed.
Barlow stands to his feet and reaches down and pulls
Cain up to his as well. Barlow drags Cain over
towards the announce table. Barlow pulls Cain’s head
back by the hair despite the warnings by Mr. Black.
Barlow then drives Cain’s face into the announce
table. Cain collapses on the outside. Mr. Black
yells for them to get back into the ring. Barlow
pulls Cain up once more by the hair and rolls him
into the ring. Barlow rolls in after him and quickly
makes a cover.
1…
2…
KICK OUT!
Thompson: Not enough to keep the former champion
down.
Sanford: Barlow is wearing him out though, you can
tell.
Thompson: Don’t forget, he’s also wearing himself
out when he does those high impact maneuvers.
Cain begins to stand to his feet. Barlow charges the
ropes in front of Cain. Barlow bounces back and then
charges at Cain looking to take his head off. Cain
sees him coming and grabs Barlow just as he gets
close enough and lifts him up in the air spinning
and then driving him back down to the mat with a
spinebuster. The crowd erupts as Barlow and Cain
both lay in the middle of the ring. Cain starts to
stand to his feet. He reaches down and pulls Barlow
up. Cain delivers a hard forearm to the face of
Barlow. Another hard forearm from Cain and then
Barlow is sent into the ropes with an Irish whip.
Barlow bounces back and Cain takes him down with a
swinging neckbreaker. Cain then quickly hooks the
leg making a cover.
Thompson: Huge spinebuster by Cain, he goes for a
cover…
1…
2…
KICK OUT!
Sanford: Not quite enough. You can tell he knocked
the wind out of Barlow though. Barlow is going to
have to step it up now.
Cain and Barlow, both beginning to tire from the
match, stand to their feet again. They tie up again,
and Barlow quickly drives a knee into the midsection
of Cain. Cain folds over and Barlow drops an elbow
across the back of his neck. Cain is driven to the
mat once more. Barlow then drops a standing leg drop
across the back of Cain’s neck. Barlow then spins
around positioning himself, and then locks in a
crossface. Barlow rears back on the hold pulling at
Cain’s neck. Cain yells in pain while trying to
fight off the hold. Mr. Black asks Cain if he wants
to submit, but Cain refuses. Cain then sees the
ropes a mere three feet away and begins pulling
himself towards them. When he is finally close
enough to grab it, Barlow anticipates and stands to
his feet. Barlow then drives his boot into the back
of Cain. The fans roar with disapproval.
Thompson: Barlow has been winning the fans over the
past couple of weeks, but they certainly do not like
this side of Barlow tonight.
Sanford: Barlow has his mind on one thing, the
Ringside Championship. And right now, Lucian Cain
stands in his way of that.
Barlow pulls Cain to his feet again. Barlow whips
Cain into the corner turnbuckle. Barlow then charges
the corner and connects with a clothesline. Cain
begins to crumble in the corner. Barlow begins to
stomp away at the fallen Cain before Mr. Black
forces the rope break. Cain slowly pulls himself to
his feet as Barlow watches on. Cain gets to his feet
and Barlow charges the ropes in front of him once
more. Barlow bounces back and charges at Cain. Cain
gets all the way to his feet and Barlow connects
with a hard spear driving Cain to the mat.
Thompson: Barlow hit's Cain with the spear! It's the
setup for the ending and Cain's return is going to
be tainted by Barlow!
Sanford: Cain should have never came back to begin
with! He's a has-been and worth nothing!
Thompson: Cain is getting up and Barlow is standing
there, waiting to hit the Crime and Punishment! Cain
is up and Barlow kicks Cain in the gut, swings his
right arm over his head and begins the Crime and
Punishment!
Sanford: See?! Pointless?! Did Knight really think
Cain would be able to do anything!?
Thompson: Wait a minute, Cain swings in a
neckbreaker-like fashion but swings Barlow into the
ropes, THE COVEN! THE COVEN! CAIN HIT'S THE COVEN
AND GOES FOR THE PIN!
Sanford: YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!
1...
2...
Thompson: NO! WHAT IS THAT!?
A figure comes out from the crowd covered completely
in black, we cannot make out whom this person is
other than they are big and stocky, his face is
covered with a black mask as the figure jumps in the
ring and brakes up the pin!
Sanford: Whoever that guy is, HE'S MY HERO!
Thompson: Well this man completely covered in a
jumpsuit complete with mask just broke the pinfall
attempt by Cain and this man is beating the hell out
of Cain!
Sanford: SOMEBODY SIGN THIS GUY!
Thompson: The man lifts Cain up and hit's a snapping
t-bone suplex! WOW did you see that t-bone suplex!
Sanford: I've seen one like that before but it's
been a long time!
Thompson: Whoever this man is, he's going for an STF
on Cain now! Barlow is starting to come around and
see's what is going on and decides to leave! This
masked man has the STF locked in on Cain! Somebody
needs to stop this!
Sanford: No, KEEP GOING!
Thompson: Wait! Cain has broken out of the STF! He's
trying to take the mask of the man and manages to
get it off! Cain has seen who he is but the man gets
his mask back and runs off quickly! Cain was the
only one who saw his face and look at Cain! Cain is
livid, like he's seen someone he has hated for a
lifetime! Cain is chasing after the masked man!
Sanford: WELL WHO THE HELL WAS IT!?!
Thompson: I have a feeling we'll know before the end
of the night Tex! |

Contract Signing
Featuring:
Jimmy Thunder and Eugene FitzPatrick
Writer:
Chris and Martin |
| | |
|
The
camera pans out to the screaming fans waving their
various signs until the screen turns to Chuck
Thompson standing in the middle of the ring with a
mic in his hand.
Chuck Thompson: In seven days time at Revival the
Commonwealth championship will be on the line when
champion Jimmy Thunder takes on the one and only
Eugene Fitzpatrick in what can potentially go down
as one of the matches of the year.
The crowd applaud.
Chuck Thompson: In a few short moments we'll have
both men out here to sign the match contract but
before I introduce them to you all, both wrestlers
have had t heir lawyers go over the documents and
all the terms have been agreed upon. The contracts
ave been signed by Ringside Wrestling authorities as
well as the the Tennessee Amateur and Professional
Sporting Commission so without further ado, let me
introduce to you the combatants.
The crowd cheer.
Chuck Thompson: First of all the challenger....
'Riverdance' starts blaring out from the speakers.
Sanford sits down and readjusts his head set. The
crowd all stand up and begin to cheer as they
believe they are aware of what is coming. Suddenly,
fireworks blast from the stage, fusing a colour of
green, whites and red, blasting up to the roof.
Snap's I've Got the Power blares through the
speakers. As the music is still playing, Eugene
Fitzpatrick walks out from the stage as the fans
vent their anger at him. The Core Wrestling Hall of
Famer paints a serious pose, his large psychotic
blue eyes staring wildly at the ring.
Chuck Thompson: Hailing from Dublin Ireland, he
weighs in at 286 pounds, ladies and gentlemen
introducing the challenger, the one, the only,
Eugene Fitzpatrick!
He climbs up the stairs and through the ropes as the
chants of 'Asshole' emanate from the crowd. Eugene
walks around the table and two chairs that are
centred in the ring as he takes in the fans venting
their hatred towards him.
Chuck Thompson: And his opponent!
The crowd suddenly turn from booing to cheering at
the blink of an eye as they anticipate who is about
to come out.
Chuck Thompson: Hailing from Boise Idaho via Sydney
Australia.
The crowd continue to cheer as Chuck Thompson pauses
to hype the crowd to cheer louder.
Chuck Thompson: He weighs in at a hefty 390 pounds.
Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce to you the
current Commonwealth Champion Jimmy
Thuuuuuuuuuuuunder!!!!!!
The lights go out as the sound of thunder clapping
echos the arena. 'Your Disease' by Saliva blasts
through the arena's speakers as an enormous cheer
from the crowd starts when Jimmy Thunder walks out
with one of his arms wrapped around his pregnant
girlfriend, Emma and the other around his son Jimmy
Junior. With the Commonwealth title belt wrapped
around Jimmy's waist he begins to walk down the
aisle while the crowd beginning to chant 'THUNDER!
THUNDER!' in unison. Jimmy doesn't take his eyes off
the ring before him; his stone like facial
expressions are replaced with a smile from ear to
ear as the pride he exudes from walking to the ring
with Emma and Junior is evident. They all climb up
the steps and into the ring as Jimmy climbs all four
turnbuckles to acknowledge the fans cheering while
Emma and Junior stand aside and clap for Jimmy. The
music dies down while the lights turn on as Chuck
Thompson walks over to Jimmy Thunder.
Chuck Thompson: You certainly know how to raise the
roof of any arena, Jimmy.
The crowd continue to cheer as Jimmy smiles while
taking the belt off his waist and draping it over
his shoulder
Jimmy Thunder: Atlanta Georgia has always been one
of my favourite places in the world.
The crowd cheer louder to Jimmy's comments.
Chuck Thompson: I've noticed you brought your family
out here tonight for the contract signing.
Jimmy Thunder: I wanted to share all this with them,
they're usually at home during these times and are
rarely on the road with me and I thought it would be
nice to bring them out here so that they can
experience a little bit of what I do out here.
Chuck Thompson: How are you feeling physically
Jimmy?
Jimmy Thunder: Oh I feel great, I'm in great shape
and I can't wait for Revival and retain my title.
Chuck Thompson walks over to where Fitz is standing.
Chuck Thompson: Gene, you must be delighted with the
way your comeback has progressed, undefeated so far,
defeating several top rW superstars, and now the
chance to win a championship at your age?
Fitz: Let's not bring this down to age, because age
has nothing to do with it, I've worked hard and
still have the fight inside of me to continue, and
that is what I will do.
Chuck: Did you foresee coming this far?
Fitz: Of course, why wouldn't I? If I didn't think I
still could, I wouldn't be here. I'm glad to have
been given the oppurtunity by John Mark Blackburn,
to be here and compete.
Chuck: How do you prepare for these matches, is it a
case of having to work harder towards it?
Fitz: No it's not Chuck. You cannot be lazy,
laziness is regrettably a trait that you cannot have
in this game. You need to get into a routine and use
the experience that I have from the last thirty-odd
years. Myself, I have a couple of large scotches and
clear my mind and a cigarette to focus myself. I
realise it isn't everyone's cup of tea, but hey,
it's worked for me so why shouldn't it continue?
Chuck: Interesting, thanks for that Gene, let's get
to the signing! Ok if we can get both guys sitting
down at the table.
Jimmy Thunder and Eugene Fitzpatrick take a seat at
opposite sides of the table. Chuck Thompson gives
Eugene Fitzpatrick a pen and shows him where to
sign. Jimmy Thunder is now given the pen and is
shown where to sign the documents. Both men lean
back in their chairs as Jimmy Thunder is handed a
microphone.
Jimmy Thunder: Now that everything is signed and
sealed, it's time for me to deliver. Come Revival, I
promise you Fitz, while my arse is still pointing to
the ground, I'll walk away with this title.
Eugene Fitzpatrick: All I can say is make sure you
bring your pretty little girl and your kid to
Tennessee with you so they can witness first hand me
beating you within an inch of your life. When I'm
finished with you, their nightmares will be so bad
they'll never sleep again.
Jimmy Thunder stands up and drops his mic to the
floor and hands his title to his son as Eugene
stands as well.
Chuck Thompson: Now guys, let's leave this for
Revival.
Jimmy moves the table and now stands toe to toe with
Fitz. The crowd start cheering as they can sense a
brawl is about to break out when Emma collapses in
the ring. Jimmy quickly rushes to her and supports
her head with his arms as he frantically calls out
for help.
Chuck Thompson: Can we get some medics out here
quickly!!!
Jimmy and his son are now on their knees by Emma's
side when several EMT's rush the ring. Suddenly, out
from nowhere, Eugene Fitzpatrick nails Thunder with
a swift and sharp kick to the head, causing him to
fall immedietly from his knees to the floor.
Chuck Thompson: Oh my God, Gene stop!
As Thunder gets up to his feet, he turns around
groggily to meet a stiff big boot right to the face
from Fitzpatrick, who had bounced of the ropes and
got his leg quite high to hit Thunder on the head.
Thunder hits the floor as Fitz rolls out of the ring
as the agents make their way down to the ring and
surround him in an effort to calm the situation
down. Fitz walks up the rampway and raises both his
arms in the air and cackles at the misfortunes the
family in the ring are facing.
Chuck Thompson: Oh my God! We're going to have to go
to commercial! We'll be right back ladies and
gents...my god.
The crowd are booing wildly and chants of "A**hole"
are echoing around the arena, as the scene fades to
black with medics rushing to the aid of both Jimmy
Thunder and Emma. |

Oliver Ranken
versus Mark Knight Pick Your Opponent's Opponent
- Singles Match
Writer:
Matt |
| | |
|
Thompson: And now, it’s time to see who Derek Barlow
chose to face Mark Knight.
Sanford: I think I know who it is. I think it has
something to do with who attacked Lucian Cain
earlier tonight.
Thompson: Cain saw who it was, and when he did, he
was certainly not happy.
“Ex’s and Oh’s by Atreyu begins to play on the PA
system and the crowd erupts. A huge pyro explosion
happens on the stage and Mark Knight steps out from
the back and stands on the entrance stage with the
Ringside Championship wrapped around his waist. He
looks around at the crowd giving him the largest
ovation since his debut in Ringside Wrestling. A
look of determination is on his face.
Stacey: The following match is for one fall.
Introducing first, from Winston-Salem, North
Carolina, standing six foot one inch, and weighing
in at two hundred twenty four pounds, he is the
Ringside Wrestling Champion, MARK KNIGHT!
KNIGHT!
KNIGHT!
KNIGHT!
Knight raises his fist in the air as the crowd roars
loudly chanting his name. He then lowers his arm and
begins his descent to the ring. He slaps the hands
of a few fans alongside the entrance ramp before
reaching the steps. He climbs up on the steps and
walks out on the apron. He turns to face the crowd
and motions his arms around his waist like a title
belt was there. He then throws his fist up again as
the ring posts explode with pyrotechnics. He then
turns and steps into the ring as his music begins to
fade out.
Sanford: I hope Barlow picked someone good.
Barlow then steps out from the back and stands on
the entrance stage. He is wearing black winds pants,
a t-shirt, and a towel around his neck to dry the
sweat from his match earlier tonight. He, like
Knight did, has a microphone in his hand.
Barlow: Like you Mark, I did give it some thought as
to who I wanted you to face tonight. As I thought
about our match next week for the Ringside
Championship, I thought about a man who wanted
nothing more than to be the Ringside Champion.
Someone who’s hunger for the gold was even stronger
than mine. Someone who defeated even me in his quest
for glory. Tonight Mark, you’re facing…OLIVER
RANKEN!
Thompson: No…
Sanford: H#ll yes! I knew I saw that T-Bone Suplex
before.
Thompson: You’re saying, Ranken attacked Cain?
Sanford: That’s what I’m saying…
'Cat Gotcha Tongue' by Stray begins to play over the
PA system and the crowd erupts loudly as a man walks
out from the back wearing a UK flag singlet and the
black mask seen earlier tonight on his face. The man
rips the mask off to reveal the face of the Bully
from Britain. Ranken smirks and then tosses the mask
into the crowd as he makes his way to the ring.
Stacey: And his opponent, standing five feet nine
inches and weighing in at two hundred sixty nine
pounds, from London, England, OLIVER RANKEN!
Ranken gets to the ring and the mauler steps in
under the top rope. He walks over to the middle of
the ring and throws his hands in the air to a mixed
reaction from the crowd. His music slowly fades out
as Joseph Stevenson gets ready to call for the bell.
Knight hands the Ringside Championship off to a crew
member. Ranken eyes the championship that he once
felt should have been his. Ranken then turns his
attention to Knight as the bell sounds.
DING
DING
DING
Thompson: It’s been a long time since Oliver Ranken
has been in a Ringside Wrestling ring. Tonight he
returns as Barlow’s choice to take on Mark Knight.
Sanford: As you know, when rW invaded EPW that one
time, it ended up as a match between Barlow and
Ranken. Ranken pulled out the victory. I am betting
we’ll see the same here.
Both men begin circling each other in the ring. They
meet in the middle of the ring looking to tie up,
but Ranken ducks Knight’s grip. Ranken then throws a
hard shot in to the midsection of Knight. Ranken
follows up with a few more hard shots to Knight’s
midsection. Ranken then delivers a hard forearm to
the face of Knight. Ranken then wraps his arms
around Knight and muscles him to the ground with a
belly to belly suplex. Ranken continues the
onslaught of rights and lefts into the face of
Knight. Barlow, still standing on the entrance way
smiles while nodding his head. He then turns to head
to the back leaving Ranken to it.
Thompson: It seems Barlow was rather enjoying Ranken
pounding away on Knight.
Sanford: Ranken is called the Bully from Britain for
a reason. He is a ground and pound wrestler and will
just beat the tar out of an opponent.
Ranken begins to stomp away at the midsection of
Knight. Knight finally rolls out of the way and onto
the outside of the ring to get away from the
ravenous Ranken. Knight stands to his feet on the
outside while Stevenson does what he can to hold
Ranken back in the ring. Knight shakes his head and
turns back to the ring and climbs in. Knight then
meets Ranken head on in the middle of the ring. This
time, the two men do tie up. The more technical
Knight quickly locks in a side headlock on Ranken.
Ranken begins throwing elbows into the midsection of
Knight to break the hold. Knight pushes Ranken in to
the ropes. Ranken bounces back and levels Knight to
the mat with a shoulder block.
Thompson: Ranken is just one tough man. Knight is
going to have to come up with some sort of strategy
to stop this iron bull from running all over him.
Sanford: That’s what happens when you don’t have
time to prepare for an opponent, you’re caught by
surprise y his unique style.
Ranken pulls Knight to his feet again. Ranken whips
him into the corner. Ranken then walks over and
drives his shoulder in to the midsection of Knight.
Another driven shoulder by Ranken and Knight is
barely standing on his feet. Ranken climbs up on the
second rope and starts pounding his fist into the
head of Knight. Knight is rocked by each punch
delivered by the former MMA fighter. As Ranken
continues to pound, Knight begins to fade. Ranken
eventually comes down to the first rope, and then to
the mat. Knight is finally pounded straight down to
the mat. Stevenson finally calls for the break and
pushes Ranken away. Knight’s face has been busted
open from the shots from Ranken.
Thompson: It looks like Knight has been opened up by
the south paw. Ranken is really devastating Knight
here tonight. I don’t know if Knight is going to be
able to make a comeback from this.
Sanford: Me either Chuck.
Knight pulls himself up using the ropes, and Ranken
finally side steps Stevenson and charges in. Knight
throws up his feet and catches the British brawler
with a kick to the jaw. Ranken shakes it off and
charges in again, but Knight is able to get his feet
up once more sending his boot into the face of
Ranken. Knight then drops his feet down to the mat
and explodes out of the corner and takes Ranken down
to the mat with lunging clothesline. Knight then
begins his own onslaught of rights and lefts into
the face of Ranken. Finally, Ranken shoves Knight
off of him and gets to his feet. Knight is right
there with a kick to the midsection. Knight then
grabs the folded over Ranken by the back of the
singlet and sends him into the turnbuckle like a
battering ram. Ranken is sent crashing into the ring
post between the ropes.
Thompson: There you go Knight. In order to beat the
bull, you have to be the bull.
Sanford: What are you saying? Ranken could have
serious shoulder injuries now.
Ranken back steps out of the corner and Knight grabs
him by the head and drops him down to the mat with a
neck breaker. Knight quickly rolls over and makes a
cover. Before Stevenson can get down to the mat,
Ranken powers out of the cover. Knight gets to his
feet and Ranken slowly starts to stand up. Knight
walks over and as Ranken stands up, Knight gives him
a hard kick to the back of the leg dropping Ranken
back down to one knee. Knight turns in front of
Ranken and drives his knee into Ranken’s midsection.
Knight then grabs a hold of Ranken’s head and drops
down delivering a hard DDT. Knight then rolls Ranken
over and makes another pin attempt.
1…
KICK OUT!
Sanford: Ranken was a bit stunned that time.
Whatever hurts Ranken won’t stop him; it only makes
him angry, so Knight better watch out.
Knight gets to his feet and pulls Ranken up to his
as well. As Ranken stands fully up, he quickly wraps
his arms around Knight’s waist again and quickly
sends him over head with snap belly to belly
overhead suplex. Ranken then gets to his feet and
shakes off the bit of damage Knight has done. The
brawler then reaches down and pulls Knight to his
feet. The blood is continuing to drip from Knight
getting into his eyes. Ranken sends Knight into the
ropes with an Irish whip. Knight bounces back and
because of the blood in his eyes, he can’t see
Ranken. Ranken catches him with a back body drop
sending him back down to the mat. Knight wipes the
blood from his face clearing up some of his vision.
He sees Ranken almost on top of him dropping and
elbow and he quickly rolls out of the way. Ranken
drops hard into the mat. Knight stands to his feet
and as Ranken is on his knees getting up from
missing the elbow, Knight delivers a big boot right
to the face of Ranken. Ranken falls backwards and
Knight quickly makes another cover.
1…
2…
Thompson: This could be it!
KICK OUT!
Sanford: Kicked out at the very last nano-second.
A look of frustration comes over the face of the
Ringside Champion. He then gets to his feet. He
reaches down and grabs the arm of Ranken and pulls
him up. Knight then wrenches the arm around applying
pressure to the muscles in Ranken’s arm. Knight then
pulls the arm down hard sending pressure to the
elbow as well. Knight then flips Ranken down to the
mat with a arm drag and continues to hold Ranken’s
arm in an inverted arm bar. Ranken, the seasoned MMA
veteran, knows what an arm bar can do, and starts to
struggle to get out of it.
Thompson: Ranken looks to be in trouble now. Knight
seems to have complete control of this match up now.
Sanford: Ranken is well aware of his ring presence
at all times. He can get out of anything at anytime.
Just watch.
Knight stands to his feet while bending over and
holding Ranken’s arm back his back know. Knight then
drives his knee into the elbow of Ranken. Another
knee shot to the elbow of Ranken and Knight is then
back on his feet. He pulls Ranken up by the back of
the head. As Ranken gets up, Knight throws a forearm
into this face. Ranken tries to answer back, but
Knight ducks the shot. Knight then pushes Ranken
into the ropes in front of him. Ranken bounces off
the ropes, and Knight rolls him up in a school boy.
1…
2…
KICK OUT!
Thompson: Knight almost got him with the school boy
pin. A classic wrestling maneuver.
Sanford: A cheap one too.
Knight stands back to his feet. As Ranken stands to
his feet using the ropes for leverage, someone jumps
over the barricade on the side of the ring. The fans
erupt when they see who it is. Ranken is leaning on
the ropes, and the person who came through the fans
uses the steps for leverage as he runs and leaps at
the face of Ranken. The person, who can obviously be
seen as Lucian Cain connects with a hard shot to the
face of Ranken. Ranken is dropped to the mat and
Stevenson has no choice but to call the match a
disqualification. Cain gets to his feet from landing
on the outside and slides into the ring.
Thompson: It’s LUCIAN CAIN! I guess he’s here to
extract a little revenge!
Sanford: He has no idea what he is doing!
Thompson: Knight is just watching on, he doesn’t
know what to think.
Cain and Ranken begin brawling in the middle of the
ring. The rest of the Ringside Referees and security
team run out from the back to try and break the two
former rivals up. They finally get them apart as
Knight takes his championship belt from the time
keeper’s table and heads away from the mayhem in the
ring.
Thompson: Knight is getting out of here almost
unscathed. It looks like Barlow’s plan of Ranken
destroying him before next week backfired. But Cain
and Ranken are still trying to get at each other.
Sanford: Ever since Cain defeated Ranken to be the
first Ringside Champion back at Tradition Episode
Five, Ranken has been looking to get his hands on
him.
As the security and referees begin dragging the two
to the back, John Mark Blackburn steps out from
behind the curtain with a microphone in his hand.
Blackburn: Cain, Ranken, you guys were brought in
tonight to face two other men, but you two can’t
seem to keep your hands off each other. So next
week, at REVIVAL, it’s going to be Lucian Cain
versus Oliver Ranken II in a Last Man Standing
Match. You can beat the h#ll out of each other then.
The crowd erupts at the announcement of the REVIVAL
Match. Ranken and Cain are finally corralled to the
back as the show fades out to a commercial break. |

Fallout
Featuring:
John Mark Blackburn and Jimmy Thunder
Writer:
Chris |
| | |
|
The
fans are on the edge of their seat and the
excitement heightens when “Devour” hits the PA
system. As the musical introduction to the song
plays loudly, the fans jump to their feet. When the
lyrics finally start, the General Manager of
Ringside Wrestling, John Mark Blackburn, steps out
from behind the curtain. He wastes no time and heads
towards the ring.
Thompson: Here comes the boss and he doesn't look
too happy.
Sanford: You can say that again, he looks like he's
on some sort of mission.
Blackburn climbs into the ring and walks straight to
the center of the ring and looks down the barrel of
the camera as the lights brighten up as the music
fades.
Blackburn: Just last week I gave a directive to both
Jimmy Thunder and Eugene Fitzpatrick that if one was
to lay a hand on the other prior to Revival, that
person will suffer the consequences. Earlier
tonight, Eugene Fitzpatrick in, ugh, I don't know
whether it was the heat of the moment or just a
moment of madness, attacked Jimmy Thunder during a
delicate situation. Now I don't care who Eugene
Fitzpatrick thinks he is but at the end of the day,
I'm the boss and what I say goes. It's as simple as
that. As a result of his actions tonight, Eugene
Fitzpatrick will not be competing at Revival for the
Commonwealth Championship.
Blackburn pauses as the crowd cheers.
Thompson: WOW! This is huge!
Sanford: I'm speechless.
Blackburn: With Eugene Fitzpatrick out of the
Commonwealth Championship equation, I have to
replace him and give somebody else a shot at Jimmy
Thunder. Now after a quick meeting with several
members of the Ringside Wrestling board, we all
unanimously agreed that Jimmy Thunder's opponent
should be....
At that point "Your Disease" by Saliva blasts
through the arena speakers which brings the fans to
their feet, followed by a roar that matches the
music for loudness. Out walks Jimmy Thunder with his
Commonwealth title belt around his waist and
immediately marches towards the ring.
Thompson: Here comes the Commonwealth Champ and he
looks as happy as the boss did when he walked
towards the ring.
Sanford: I don't know why he's upset, John Blackburn
just saved his title. Eugene Fitzpatrick would have
beaten Thunder guaranteed.
Thompson: Reports backstage is that Jimmy's
girlfriend Emma is fine which is a tremendous
relief.
Sanford: If Thunder came to the contract signing
alone we wouldn't have any problems at all. I blame
him for all this.
Jimmy's emotionless face stares directly at
Blackburn and ignores the fans who are reaching out
and trying to get Jimmy to touch their hands. He
quickly walks up the stairs and climbs over the top
rope. He walks straight up to John Blackburn and
hovers right over him.
Blackburn: Now Thunder, I don't know if your
previous employers would accept this but I wont
tolerate you trying to intimidate me so back up a
step or two and I will answer any questions you may
have.
Jimmy takes a short step back but continues to stare
at Blackburn.
Blackburn: That's better, now Thunder, I know you're
interested in who your next opponent is for this
week so I'll.......
Thunder: I don't care who you have lined up next, I
want Fitzpatrick.
Blackburn: What you want and what you get is
entirely two different things my friend. You might
have misunderstood me, Eugene Fitzpatrick
disrespected by orders so now he loses his title
shot like I promised last week.
Thunder: There is no way in hell I'm facing anyone
else at Revival but Fitzpatrick.
Blackburn: Thunder, you are the Commonwealth
Champion and you will face whoever I say and
whenever I say. I'll guarantee you now that Jimmy
Thunder will not defend his title against Eugene
Fitzpatrick at Revival. Eugene Fitzpatrick has lost
his shot and is now at the back of the contenders
line.
Jimmy takes a few steps away and kicks the bottom
rope in frustration before walking back to where
Blackburn is standing.
Thunder: How do you like this for an idea, you take
the Commonwealth title and I take on Fitzpatrick at
Revival?
Blackburn gives Thunder a surprised look.
Thunder: I want Fitzpatrick one on one in a falls
anywhere street fight.
The crowd cheers as Blackburn is still stunned by
Jimmy's idea.
Blackburn: You don't want to do that.
Thunder: You bet your bottom dollar I do.
Blackburn: If you want him that bad then you can
have him.
Blackburn holds out his hand and waits for Jimmy to
give him the Commonwealth title belt. Jimmy unstraps
it from his waist and takes one last look at the
belt before looking around to the fans who are
yelling out for him not to do it. Jimmy looks at the
belt again before he kisses it and slowly hands it
over to a smirking John Blackburn. Jimmy immediately
walks away as "Your Disease" by Saliva hits the
arena speakers just as Jimmy Thunder exits the ring.
Thompson: I cant believe what we have just
witnessed. Jimmy Thunder has relinquished the
Commonwealth title to guarantee that he has his
match against Eugene Fitzpatrick.
Sanford: I'm convinced the man is an idiot. He gives
up the title that Blackburn made sure Fitzpatrick
wasn't going to take from him only to face him in
match that will have Fitzpatrick salivating.
Thompson: I'm sure Jimmy Thunder is running on
emotions right now, I just hope he knows what he's
doing.
The camera shows Jimmy walking up the runway as he
again ignores the fans and heads straight to the
backstage area. |

The
camera cuts backstage as Silas Eneas sits on a sofa
in the locker room of the reigning Fellowship
Champions. On his left sits Hiroshi Ryusaki while on
his right sits Steven Holt. Both of Silas’ hands
hold 32 ounce Big Gulp glasses. Steven takes one,
sipping it slowly before putting it back in Silas’
hand. Ryusaki flips the station from MSNBC to CNN.
Neither man speaks as Silas glances back and forth
before finally speaking.
Silas: Just say something.
Ryusaki (glancing at him, before looking back at the
television): What?
Silas (angrily): Anything! This is boring.
Steven (coughing to interrupt): Um, I'm watching the
news.
Silas (looking a bit surprised): ... the news? You
have a match in 15 minutes.
Ryusaki (reaching over to take his Big Gulp): And in
25 minutes, it'll be over.
Silas: ... That's all you have to say about it?
Ryusaki: We've beaten them too many times to count,
Silas. This match is like beating a dead horse...
only the horse is two annoying Hawaiians.
Steven: ... the dead horse would smell better.
Silas: YES! See! This is what I wanted.
Both Hiroshi and Steven are completely silent now,
returning to their news program.
Silas: ... do you just not care?
Steven: Yes.
Silas: Hiroshi? Tell me you care?
Ryusaki is completely silent.
Silas: Hiroshi?
Hiroshi (pointing at the tv): Who's this guy again?
Silas groans.
Silas: You're both starting to piss me off.
Steven (to Ryusaki): So, you a fan of Obama’s speech
last week?
Silas’ head drops in defeat.
Ryusaki nods.
Hiroshi: It's much more fun watching Palin blame
McCain and vice versa. I'm waiting for Jerry
Springer to step into the picture.
Silas: Are you two going to talk about anything that
resembles a match related comment?
Steven (pausing before looking around): I’m hungry,
I think I saw some watermelon in the dining area.
(he stand, glancing at Hiroshi) Want any?
Hiroshi: Watermelon? This time of the year? (pause)
Sure.
Ryusaki stands and walks towards the door with Holt
just a few steps ahead of him.
Hiroshi: You know, they make it square in Japan.
Steven: Square? No sh*t?
Hiroshi: Mhmm, makes it easier to stack in the
store.
The two men exit the room leaving Silas sitting
there on the sofa. He glances around briefly and
then begins to mutter.
Silas: ... I can not wait until they're gone!
(pause) oo, look at me, I'm a writer. Oo look at me,
I'm asian. Me and my ... my typewriter and my square
watermelons, I think I'm so special.
Silas stands and prances about the room as he mocks
the two champions, holding one of the two belts to
his waist.
Silas (bad Japanese accent): I ru no undoostan' la
wado comin' ou' ob' ma' o'n mouf.
Hiroshi (from the hallway): ... Silas, there's a tv
in the hallway.
Silas pauses, drops the belt and then bolts out of
the room as fast as he can before the scene fades to
black. |

Hawaiians for Hire
versus Hiroshi Ryusaki (c) and Steven Holt (c)
Fellowship Championship - Fellowship Match
Writer:
Matt | | | | |
Stacey
Dream enters the ring, her microphone in hand as the
crowd begins to feel the uproarious excitement of yet
another Ringside Wrestling match.
Thompson: This is likely to be one of those matches that
makes Ringside history. There’s a lot of heat between
these two teams.
Sanford: … who’re you?
Thompson: … Chuck Thomp- you know who I am.
Sanford: Where’s Austin?
Thompson: He got promoted. I’ve taken over his position.
Sanford: When did this happen?
Thompson: I see why he loathed you.
Stacy Dream: Ladies and gentlemen, I am proud to bring
to you a tandem rematch worthy of Revival… introducing
first, tonight’s challengers, from Hawaii, Johnny Kapaa
and Kalena Gomes… The Hawaiians For Hiiiire!
The crowd gives a mixed reaction to the tag team as they
make their way to the ring.
'Senseless' by Asian Kung-Fu Generation hits the PA
system and the crowd erupts with a mixed reaction. A
huge pyro explodes on the entrance stage as the
Fellowship Champions walk out with the belts draped over
their shoulders.
Thompson: It’s crazy. These two men are complete
assholes; they have no respect for the audience, for the
other wrestlers and yet listen to this crowd? There are
parts that love them!
We cut to Howard Sanford who is now wearing a
Holt/Ryusaki t-shirt, standing on the announcers table,
and waving two pendants: one says Holt and the other
says Ryusaki.
Thompson: I wish they’d fired me when they canceled
Hype.
Stacey: And their opponents, weighing in at a combined
weight of three hundred sixty five pounds, they are the
Ringside Wrestling Fellowship Champions, STEVEN HOLT AND
HIROSHI RYUSAKI!
The crowd erupts again as Holt and Ryusaki get to the
ring. They climb in from the steps and meet in their
corner. They hand the title belts off to the crew member
at ringside. Holt and Ryusaki converse in the corner as
they wait for match to begin. Ryusaki’s music fades out.
Steven Holt is the first into the ring from the
Champion’s corner; on the challenger’s side, Gomes
initiates the match. Seeing as how Gomes has no bio of
his own, he just kinda stands there and waits to be hit.
A quick right hand from Holt staggers the challenger.
Holt launches a second but Gomes twists under his arm
and jumps, delivering a standing drop kick!
Thompson: Great connection for Gomes there; looks like
it landed perfectly at Holt’s ribcage.
Holt catches himself on the ropes and then jumps back
almost immediately as Kapaa rushes down the apron,
prepared to snatch an easy shot at the champion. Ryusaki
moves away from his corner, keeping his eyes more so on
Kapaa now after his initiation. Gomes and Holt pace
briefly in the ring before a lock up; Holt with a quick
advantage and a knee to the gut solidifies his position.
Holt attempts a suplex but Gomes hooks their legs,
preventing the lift. A hard right to Holt’s ribs by
Gomes followed by a quick knee from the champion; a
second attempt at the suplex yields no results with
Gomes, once again, hooking the leg. Holt tries a third
time, immediately after the second, and this too is
easily blocked by Go-WOAH! Holt twists out of nowhere
and drops the challenger with a neckbreaker!
Sanford: This is why they’re champions, Chucky.
Gomes is the first up, surprisingly enough, but more out
of self-preservation than energy alone; he slides away
from Holt and makes a quick tag to his much larger
partner. Holt sits up on his knees calmly, a smirk on
his face. Kapaa rushes the champion and prepares for a
big boot in his prone position but Holt ducks just in
time and grabs Kapaa’s leg, now holding it over his
shoulder, he slams a fist into the inside of Kapaa’s
supporting knee and knocks the larger man down before
rolling towards the free leg, jerking and twisting the
captured knee one good time before getting to his feet.
Holt with a quick tag to Ryusaki.
Kapaa grins and instantly moves towards the smaller
opponent. Ryusaki strafes to the right momentarily, the
two men keeping an eye on one another. Kapaa slowly
closes the distance and they quickly lock up.
Thompson: Bad decision by Ryusaki here, he’s much
larger.
As if Thompson had been a prophet, Kapaa head butts the
champion in one swift thud, so sickening that extra
janitors were called to the stands. Ryusaki staggers
back and Kapaa grabs the smaller man and jerks him in
for a devastating short-arm clothesline. The crowd is
giving their legendary mixed reaction, some cheering for
the downfall of the pompous Ryusaki, others booing for
the team everyone loves to hate.
Kapaa stomps around his opponent, planting a boot here
and there to maintain his advantage, but primarily
gloating. Gomes partially climbs the turnbuckle and
raises his arms, twisting to look out into the crowd.
Kapaa motions to Gomes who nods; Gomes drops another
very hard heel into the center of Ryusaki’s chest and
then reaches down, grabbing him by the wrists. Kapaa
drags Ryusaki within range of Gomes who immediately
launches himself off the top rope for some kind of
splash.
Thompson: Woah, this is breaking down fast!
Holt from nowhere slams a hard elbow into the side of
Kapaa’s head, sending him staggering to the side.
Ryusaki rolls out of the way just in time, causing Gomes
to slap face first into the mat, bouncing up with the
shear amount of force! Referee Sam Worth is in the
middle of the tandem brawl, attempting to restore order
to this championship matchup!
Sanford: The crowd is loving this. I’M loving this!
Holt with an arm wrench on Kapaa and he twists around,
delivering a short arm-bar clothesline of his own,
dropping the large man to the canvas. Gomes and Ryusaki
have each gathered their wits and are engaging in a
Matrix-style battle of their own, each one throwing
strikes at the other, only to have minimal contact with
each. Ryusaki leaps up with a high roundhouse, Gomes
ducks and swings to catch Hiroshi’s midsection but the
athlete quickly hooks the arm and flips over, landing on
his own two feet. A quick spin kick by Ryusaki bends
Gomes at the waist and a fast axe-kick to the back of
the neck drops him to the apron. Worth forcibly shoves
Holt away from Kapaa and points at Gomes, yelling for
him to vacate the ring.
Sanford: Pretty brazen move there by Sam Worth.
Thompson: Holt may be an ass… an irritant… a complete
jerk. (pause) Ever spoken to him on aim? It’s like a
vasectomy without anesthetics… where was I going with
this?
Sanford: … Worth
Thompson: Oh yes. He’s not stupid enough to attack an
official in the ring.
Ryusaki and Kapaa remain in the ring; Kapaa moves in to
regain control of the match but is caught off guard by a
quick kick to his knee, the same knee that Holt
assaulted earlier, dropping him to the mat. Gomes yells
out but to no avail, Hiroshi drops Kapaa further to the
mat with a spinning heel kick followed immediately by
moving to his injured leg. One quick, blunt kick causes
the challenger to jerk and begin to move away, putting
him in the perfect position as Ryusaki jerks the leg up
and quickly applies a Leg Slicer.
Sanford: That… looks painful.
Thompson: These two are experts at taking an opponents
weakest point and breaking it. Beating it. Making it a
shadow of its former self.
Sanford: You finished being poetic over there?
Thompson: Think so, yeah.
Kapaa is yelling out in agony as referee Worth checks to
see if he’s wanting to call the match. Gomes yells from
the sidelines, trying to bolster the endurance of his
partner. Holt leans over the ropes and extends his arm,
making an extended quick tag with Ryusaki. Holt moves in
immediately and drops a knee onto Kapaa’s knee, causing
the already winched joint even more pain. Johnny screams
out and before he can get away for a much needed tag,
Holt applies a Figure Four Leg lock. Ryusaki moves to
the apron, blowing a kiss at the very agitated Gomes.
Sanford: Now THIS is entertainment! The systematic
destruction of one man by two others.
Thompson: You’re sick… absolutely disgusting.
Sanford: You’re the one sleeping with your wife.
Thompson: I…
Sanford: And victory to Howie.
Kapaa, after far too long on his back, forces himself
into a sitting position, grabs Holt by the shirt and in
one fluid motion, back hands the champion, knocking the
hold loose and sending the champion rolling onto his
side.
Thompson: Wow, momentous power in that strike from
Johnny Kapaa. The Hawaiians are showing what they’re
made of here tonight. Amazing stamina.
Sanford: … that’s what your wife sa-
Thompson: I will kill you in your sleep.
Kapaa pushes himself up and then, using the ropes, pulls
himself to his feet. He’s very clearly favoring his
right knee and begins limping towards Gomes.
Thompson: This is a much needed move by Johnny Kapaa,
don’t you agree?
There’s no response. We cut to the announcers as
Thompson look to his right to find Howard Sanford 5 feet
away, holding a chair in front of him – obviously in
fear.
Kapaa is within inches of Gomes – Holt from nowhere as
he practically shoulders him into the ropes; Kapaa makes
a desparate reach for Gomes but Holt grips him about the
waist and lifts with all of his might, spinning away
from Gomes, and slams him with an awkward spinning
spinebuster, Holt’s Sudden Stop.
Thompson: I’ve seen that look better in Holt’s career.
Kapaa is just too large of a man for Holt to fully
manhandle.
Howard: Still a fitting name for this situation; a
sudden stop to what could have changed the course of
this match.
Holt, just two feet from Gomes, grips his opponent
(Kapaa) by the legs and applies the Boston’s Own Boston
Crab, causing Kapaa to yell back. Holt’s face is one of
pure glee as he leans back, his eyes on Gomes the entire
time, applying more and more pressure to the move. Kapaa
is screaming at this point, gripping desperately in all
directions. Gomes looks around for anything that can
help but is met by Sam Worth’s persistent glare. Gomes
quickly enters the ring and then ducks out again,
garnering a response from Hiroshi Ryusaki on the other
side of the ring. Ryusaki ducks under as well and the
second Gomes is out, Worth turns his attention to the
Japanese competitor; Gomes grips Holt by the foot from
outside the ring and jerks him – and thus Kapaa –
towards the ropes. Kapaa makes a quick grip of the rope
before Worth turns around.
Sanford: Clever move on the part of Kalena.
Holt stands up, his eyes on Gomes on the outside as he
grabs Kapaa and pulls him to his feet – a torturous
journey for the injured man – and whips him to the
ropes. Kapaa doesn’t make it with his knee in the shape
it is and drops mid way, grabbing at his right leg in
agony. Holt with a quick stomp as he passes his opponent
and an easy, almost carefree, tag to Hiroshi.
Sanford: Look at that, not a care in the world of Steven
Holt.
Ryusaki slips into the ring. Kapaa has pulled himself up
and begun hopping – no longer limping – towards Gomes.
Gomes is practically balancing on the top rope as he
leans into the ring, extending the tag to Kapaa. Ryusaki
smiles!? Hiroshi breaks out in a furious run and slides
feet first between the legs of Kapaa, twisting his own
legs about Kapaa’s right before jerking his body to the
side and… TSUJIKAZE LEGBAR! Kapaa slams sideways to the
mat with Hiroshi’s head close to the ropes, the move
perfectly positioning him out of reach. Gomes is in a
full fledged panic on the side of the ring as Kapaa
yells out in pain, his face turning red as he grits his
teeth. Kapaa covers his face as Worth begins to check on
the submission.
Sanford: This is all she wrote. A powerful technique
employed here by Ryusaki and Kapaa’s knee can only take
so much.
Thompson: The champions prove why they’re the champions
right here.
Gomes drops off the apron and rushes the announcers
desk.
Sanford: HEY!?
Gomes jerks the microphone and small desk stand off the
table and rushes the ring. Worth has his back to the
actions going on outside but Holt immediately bolts into
the ring and dashes right past Worth, who attempts to
stop him, and slide to the outside.
Sanford: Go Holt! (having stolen Thompson’s microphone)
Holt slides out of the ring and rushes an unsuspecting
Gomes; Gomes turns… BLACK SWAN THEORY! Gomes meets
Holt’s knee chin-first and drops backwards, his lights
completely out. Holt is furious; he grabs his tag title
from the nearby desk and begins to slam it, repeatedly,
into the face of Gomes, bloodying his forehead and nose
before security can pull him back. In the ring Kapaa
finally taps, signaling the end of the match.
THAT’S IT!
Sanford: Wooo! The champions rock!
Thompson: Despite some dirty tactics, Kapaa and Gomes
were unable to pull off a win against these two well
rounded atheletes.
Ryusaki releases the hold and shoves Kapaa away. Hiroshi
pulls himself up and looks around to see Worth holding
one half of the tag team titles. Johnny Kapaa, now
having crawled to the other side of the ring, pulls
himself up. Worth approaches Kapaa to check on him.
Ryusaki glances out at Gomes and Holt's interaction
before grinning and glancing back at Kapaa; he rushes
him immediately…
Sanford: OH MY GOD.
Thompson: He did, he did!
FUBUKI! Hiroshi delivers a devastating straight kick,
once banned from the world of professional wrestling, to
the chest of Kapaa! Kapaa is thrust back into the ropes
and over the top, crashing to the apron and then the
floor below. The crowd is on their feet, some cheering
with others jeering. Sam Worth was knocked to the mat
with the sudden quick movements of Ryusaki who leans
over the ropes, staring down at his obliterated
opponent.
Sanford: He was already going to have to deal with the
leg injuries and now? My god… my god.
Ryusaki snatches the title from Worth and drapes it over
his shoulder. Holt has long since calmed, the bloodied
belt still hanging from his clenched fist. The two men
exchange glances, each noting the other’s handiwork
before beginning to make their way up the rampway.
"Senseless" by Asian Kung-Fu Generation plays over the
sound system while medical staff rush the ring to deal
with what remains of the Hawaiians for Hire.
Sanford: And that's it... Holt and Ryusaki just proved
why they are the Fellowship champions. | | | |
